The Footpath Foundation is partnering with Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Ohio to bring Outdoor Connection Kits to kids in need this summer!
During this COVID Crisis, we realize more than ever that people need to be outside! It relieves stress and anxiety and improves our overall well-being. Sadly, our urban children living in poverty are often not able to enjoy nature, and we want to change that. We have an opportunity to bring the outdoors to these kids this summer with our new innovative programming!
To make this happen- we need your help! You have the opportunity to provide kits to children every other week throughout the summer – six kits in all per child.
Each kit contains an exciting lesson and supplies to get kids outside and will contain a wide array of fun, educational and social emotional well-being materials. Example contents may include items such as: bird feeder making materials, chalk, jump rope, yard games and nature art supplies. Our curriculum includes tons of fun activities AND lessons on stress reduction, mindfulness and anxiety reducing coping skills.
- Donate kits for 3 families – $405
- Donate kits for a large family (4 or more kids)- $225
- Donate kits for a small family- $135
- Donate a kit for one child- $45
