Footpath headed down to the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland on Broadway today to drop off a donation. In addition to some board games, we donated a big bag of beautiful new books courtesy of elementary school student, Leilah! Instead of cards for her birthday party, Leilah requested her friends bring a book to donate to underprivileged kids. There’s nothing more inspiring than kids showing compassion and organizing acts of kindness for other children in need.
The Boys & Girls Club will be using these books for their inside library as well as the local “Little Free Library” box outside their facility. This is where kids can freely take books home with them and return them at their convenience to share with others, just by walking down the street. A huge thank you to Leilah and her friends for such a thoughtful contribution!
While we were there, we got the opportunity to tour the Boys and Girls Club facility on Broadway. This is an amazing organization dedicated to keeping kids safe and providing enriching experiences on a consistent basis. They are a safe haven for kids to freely enter after school and on the weekends with access to computers, books, games, sports, arts & crafts as well as access to mentors and companionship.
With eight facilities throughout the Cleveland area, the Boys & Girls Club gives over 900 kids a stable environment on a daily basis which encourages a more hopeful future. Footpath is grateful for the opportunity to see all this great organization does for the kids of Cleveland! Thank you!
